The basics

  • Each week, every entry picks one NFL team that you are certain will win.
  • Teams may be re-used throughout the season — pick the same team every week if you like.
  • You may have multiple entries, up to the season's limit. Each entry picks and stands on its own.
  • Entries are per season and close at the Week 1 deadline — no joining mid-season.

Deadlines & pick changes

  • Submit your pick by Sunday at 1:00 PM Eastern each week.
  • A game that has already kicked off can no longer be picked — Thursday games lock at Thursday kickoff.
  • You can change your pick as often as you like before the deadline; the latest submission counts.
  • Each pick stays hidden until its game kicks off or the weekly deadline passes, whichever comes first — Thursday picks show Thursday night, everything else reveals at the deadline.

The Winners Pool

  • Every entry starts in the Winners Pool. If your team wins, you survive to pick again.
  • If your team loses — or ties; a tie game is not a win — you drop into the Losers Pool.
  • Winning entries continue through the playoffs and Super Bowl if necessary.
  • The entry (or entries) that last the longest win or divide the Winners Pool, and are finished — they do not enter the Losers Pool.

The Losers Pool

  • Entries in the Losers Pool keep picking one team each week, win or lose, through the Super Bowl.
  • You carry your accumulated Winners Pool wins with you.
  • The entry (or entries) with the most total wins — combined from both pools — win or divide the Losers Pool.

Missed picks

  • Fail to submit a pick and you are given the visiting team in the last game of the week.
  • Miss three consecutive weeks and your entry is marked OUT for the year.

If the Winners Pool reaches the Super Bowl

  • A Winners Pool entry that picks the Super Bowl loser drops to the Losers Pool and shares it with anyone else at one loss — or wins it alone if no one else has only one loss.
  • If every remaining Winners Pool entry picks the Super Bowl loser, everyone with one loss shares both pools.

Fair play

  • Submitting false entries will result in expulsion from the pool.
